TOP TEAMS IN DISTRICT: CUBS/WEISS SQUARE OFF IN FINALE
A lot is on the line tonight as the Brenham Cubs football team closes out the regular season at Pflugerville Weiss.
The Cubs enter the game 5-1 in 13/5A DII play, while the Wolves are 6-0 in the district.
While both teams will advance to the playoffs and host opening games, the winner will host the 4th-place team from District 14/5A DII and the loser will host the 3rd-place team.
Currently, the standing in 14/5A DII: 1-Tivy (6-0); 2-Boerne Champion (5-1); 3-Madina Valley (4-2); 4-Alamo Heights & Lockhart (3-3); 6-Uvalde (2-4).
The winner will also claim the District Championship. Last year, both teams were part of a three-way tie for the title.
