TRAIN STRIKES TRACTOR NEAR NAVASOTA–MINOR INJURIES
One person received minor injuries after a train slammed into a farm tractor Monday morning in south Brazos County near Navasota.
The accident occurred just after 11:00 a.m. on tracks near FM 159 and White Switch Road.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the operator of the John Deere tractor was trying to cross the tracks when the collision occurred. The tractor driver suffered only minor injuries.
The train was hauling oil but it did not derail and nothing was spilled.
