TRUCK/TRAIN COLLIDE IN BRAZOS COUNTY
No one was injured when an 18-wheeler collided with a train Saturday afternoon in Brazos County.
According to College Station police, the 18-wheeler was hauling two generators. The train struck the vehicle in between the truck and trailer.
According to authorities, about 100 gallons of diesel spilled from the 18-wheeler. The train engine was damaged in the collision.
The semi driver was ticketed for failing to yield to the approaching train.
The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. Union Pacific reported train traffic resumed around 6:15.
