TWO ARRESTED IN FAYETTE CO. FOR SUSPECTED DRUG POSSESSION
A pair of Bastrop individuals were taken into custody late Monday night in Fayette County, on drug charges.
At around 11 p.m., a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy was on routine patrol on Highway 71 West in the Kirtley area, when he stopped a vehicle for defective equipment.
Investigation determined that the driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. After obtaining consent to search the vehicle, the deputy found approximately seven grams of suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle, in possession of both occupants.
44-year-old James Peterson and 38-year-old Lisa Davidson, both of Bastrop, were arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance. They were taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center, where they were released to jail staff.
