TWO ARRESTED IN PLOT TO KILL COLLEGE STATION POLICE OFFICER

  

College Station Police say they have arrested two people accused in a plot to kill a police officer.

46-year old Louisa Navarro and 22-year old Ronnie James Lott are charged with plotting to kill an officer who arrested Navarro’s daughter Stephanie Navarro, Friday.

Authorities say Stephanie Navarro was arrested after a traffic stop on multiple charges including: Fleeing, Driving While License Invalid and several outstanding warrants.  During the arrest, the officer says he was verbally confronted by several members of Navarro’s family.

Sunday, the officer says he was approached at church by Lott, who lives with Stephanie Navarro.  The officer says he convinced Lott he was not the officer he was looking for.

An investigation revealed that Louisa Navarro had promised her daughter during a prison visit, that she’d find the officer when he was off duty and then kill him.

Both are Lott and Louisa Navarro are charged with Obstruction or Retaliation.

Louisa Navarro is being held on $75,000 bond. Lott’s bond was set at $100,000.
