TWO AUSTIN MEN ARRESTED AFTER ATTEMPTED BURGLARY IN FAYETTE CO.

Two burglary suspects were arrested early Tuesday morning in Fayette County.

At around 3:10 a.m., the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received an alarm call at the Point store in West Point, about 11 miles west of La Grange on Highway 71.

When deputies arrived, they saw a vehicle at the rear side of the business, with two individuals trying to leave the location.

Deputies saw a broken tow strap in the front of the business, attached to the front doors of the store.  The other end of the broken tow strap was located inside the vehicle that was attempting to leave the area.

Two people were arrested and charged with Burglary of a Building: 31-year-old Jeremy Parsons and 38-year-old Manuel Soriano, each of Austin.

The two were also charged with warrants out of Travis County, for Driving while License Invalid and Possession of Marijuana, respectively.

Both Parsons and Soriano were taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.  They are also being questioned by Austin police, in reference to a shooting that happened in Austin.
