TWO BRENHAM FIREMEN ATTEND RAIL CLASS
Brenham Fire Chief Ricky Boeker reports that earlier this month two members of the Brenham Fire Department (Jerred Eschete and Chris McCain) flew to Pueblo Colorado to take part in a Crude Oil by Rail training class that was sponsored by BNSF railroad. The three day class was held at the Security & Emergency Response Training Center in Pueblo Colorado.
The class was sponsored by BNSF railroad with no cost to the City of Brenham. The two Brenham Fire Fighters learned about fighting crude oil rail fires and dealing with crude oil spills. Chief Boeker says that the Brenham Fire Department members are currently updating our preplans for dealing with incidents involving the railway.
