TWO CONTESTED RACES ON WASHINGTON CO. REPUBLICAN PRIMARY BALLOT

  

The deadline for filing for the March primaries has passed, and a pair of races will be contested on the Washington County Republican ballot.

For Washington County Commissioner Precinct One, incumbent Don Koester will face challenger Rick Seeker in the Republican primary.

Update @ 10:30 a.m.: Shirley Harris-Jackson has filed for the position in the Democratic primary.

Cheryl Gaskamp and Daphne Kohring will each run for the position of Tax Assessor-Collector.  Incumbent Dot Borchardt is retiring from the post.

All other incumbents for the Republican primary are running unopposed, which include:

Precinct Three County Commissioner Kirk Hanath, Sheriff Otto Hanak, District Attorney Julie Renken, County Attorney Renee Mueller, and all four Constables: Precinct One Ken Holle, Precinct Two Carroll “Butch” Faske, Precinct Three David Blakey, and Precinct Four Greg Rolling.

The primary elections are set for March 3, 2020.
