Two area men have died after weekend accidents in area counties:

A Bellville man is dead after a one-vehicle accident this weekend in Austin County.

According to DPS, 20-year old Abraham Villasana of Bellville, was killed when the 2014 Chevy Silverado he was in, rolled over early Saturday morning.

Villasana was one of four men in the pickup that rolled over just after 4:00 a.m. on Settlers Way, about 2 miles west of Sealy.

Authorities say the pickup ran off the road, struck a concrete culvert and rolled over several times.

Villasana was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other three in the pickup are all in stable condition at area hospitals.

The icy conditions were definitely a contributing factor in a fatal accident Saturday night in Colorado County.

A pickup ran off the I-10 overpass two miles east of Columbus, just after 6:00 Saturday night.

Killed in the accident was 72-year old Dr. Richard Swenson of Schulenburg.  He was a passenger in the 1999 Chevy 1500 pickup, driven by his wife, 62-year old Arlene Swenson.

Arlene Swenson is in stable condition at Colorado County Hospital in Columbus.

Authorities say the truck ran off the icy overpass, skidded and went down the steep embankment, rolling over several times.
