TWO SMALL FIRES OVER THE WEEKEND ON WEST SIDE OF CITY

Just after the 8:00 hour on Saturday night, a smoke investigation at 1405 W. Main Street by the Brenham Fire Department revealed a fire at the back of the building.

Members of the department were able to extinguish the flames with water quickly, and the units were soon back in service.

Sunday afternoon just before 3pm, the department responded to a dumpster on fire at Old Mill Creek Road at the Oak Tree Crossing.

The area is in the new subdivision behind the Blinn Ag building, according representatives, and the dumpster was located by the new church being built.

The department found a big dumpster full engulfed in flames, but were able to put the fire out and clear the scene.
