TxDOT SAYS HIGHWAY 30 BRIDGE COULD BE CLOSED ANOTHER MONTH
The Texas Department of Transportation say it may take another month before repairs are finished on Highway 30 in Grimes County.
TxDOT shut down the bridge over Gibbons Creek last month, forcing motorists to take long detours.
They said crews are working on welding at the bridge this week, as they continue to address erosion issues.
TxDOT said the bridge repair could cost just under half a million dollars. Officials believe the road could be closed until mid-August.
