WALLER PREPARING TO HOST “CHILI WHEN IT’S CHILLY” FUNDRAISER THIS WEEKEND

This weekend, the annual “Chili When It’s Chilly” fundraiser gets underway in Waller.

The event takes place Friday and Saturday at Lone Star Jellystone in Waller, and will provide plenty of food and entertainment.

Friday night’s entertainment will feature the Bayou City Outlaw Band and Mike and the Moonpies, with a variety of local and regional artists Saturday night.  This year’s theme for the fundraiser is “Stars, Stripes, and Superheroes”.

Event organizer Kelly Outlaw Hinze says the funds will go towards the Boot Campaign, helping veterans to adjust back to civilian life.

Tickets are $15, and can be purchased at the gate or online, at www.chiliwhenitschilly.com.  Entries to join the various cook-offs are still available.

KTEX-106 is a proud sponsor of this weekend’s event, and will be sending out Cactus Ken Murray Saturday morning in the friendly country cruiser.
