WANTED THEFT SUSPECT ARRESTED

Brenham Police have apprehended a woman wanted on a theft warrant.
Thursday morning at approximately 1:30, Officer Jonathan Phipps was told that 40-year old Shanda Fern Knight of Brenham was staying at a residence on Church St. Knight was wanted on an outstanding Theft charge.
When Phipps arrived at the location, he found Knight, who was immediately arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail.
Due to a medical condition, Knight was taken to Scott and White Hospital, where she was treated and released back into the jail.
Knight is charged with Theft under $1,500 with two previous convictions, which is a state jail felony.
