WASHINGTON CO. CHAMBER ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR MAN, WOMAN OF YEAR
The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2019 Man and Woman of the Year-Lifetime Achievement Awards.
The Chamber’s long-standing tradition recognizes the achievements of a pair of individuals annually. The winners are announced at the annual banquet held by the Chamber of Commerce and Brenham Economic Development Foundation. 2018’s award recipients were Dottie Schaer and Charlie Pyle.
The next annual banquet will be held on January 28, 2020. Prior to the banquet, the immediate past chairman of the Chamber board will bring together a committee, made up of past award winners, to review nominations and vote on this year’s candidates.
Nomination forms, which include judging criteria, are now available. They can be obtained by either contacting the chamber to have a form emailed, or they can be downloaded from www.brenhamtexas.com.
Completed nomination forms are due to the Chamber by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8th.
Winners are only selected from nominations received. Nominations from previous years will be considered if they are resubmitted by the deadline.
