WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS APPROVE CONTRACT WITH VENDOR TO SORT DEED RECORDS

Washington County Commissioners approved a contract with a state vendor to help sort deed records at today’s (Tuesday) meeting.

EdocTech will assist the Court in back-indexing deed records, for a $93,500 contract.  County Clerk Beth Rothermel says the Court has been overwhelmed with requests from title companies asking for digital copies of records.

The Court approved the placement of a water line and road bore on Windy Acres Road.  Commissioner Kirk Hanath, who was absent from today’s (Tuesday) meeting, met with PGMS Water Supply prior to the meeting and said that there were no concerns regarding the placement.

The Court also heard a subdivision variance request for land on Sandy Hill Road.  According to the commissioners, the road frontage has changed, so the easement would pass through property.  The court said it plans to ask the properties affected to split costs of the easement.

Commissioners also approved Vincent Henson as a replacement on the Salary Review Committee.  Monthly reports from the Sheriff’s Office, EMS, IT Department, and Veterans Service Officer were also presented.
