WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO ADDRESS RESOLUTIONS TUESDAY

Washington County Commissioners will look at a pair of resolutions at their meeting Tuesday.

One of the resolutions deals with guidelines and criteria for granting tax abatements for reinvestment zones created in the county.

The guidelines are adopted every two years, and commissioners plan to re-adopt the guidelines they have been using.

The other resolution certifies that the county has granted funds this year to the Washington County Healthy Living Association (WCHLA).

It also confirms the county approves WCHLA’s accounting system, so it can be eligible for funds from the Texas Department of Agriculture Home-Delivered Meal Grant Program.  The program, called Texans Feeding Texans, is typically renewed by commissioners annually.

The court will also look at approving a mass gathering permit for the upcoming Scarecrow Festival in Chappell Hill.  In addition, it will receive formal notices for a road bore, and several utility installations.  These include natural gas pipelines and a temporary water line on roads in Precinct 4.

Commissioners will also receive a series of monthly reports, as well as go over any budget line-item transfers or amendments.  They will also issue a declaration of October 7th through the 13th as National 4-H Week in the county.

The court meets Tuesday at 9 a.m., at the Washington County Courthouse.
