WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER INTER-LOCAL ROAD AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF BURTON

Washington County Commissioners will consider their half of an inter-local agreement with the City of Burton for road repairs at their meeting Tuesday.

The agreement between the county and the city would provide for repairs and improvements at the intersection of West Texas and North Railroad Streets.  The agreement was approved by the Burton City Council at its meeting Tuesday.

Also in court, commissioners will act on rescinding their approval of a contract with Otis Elevator Company to provide labor and material for the elevator in the courthouse annex.  If the item is approved, the county will proceed to go out for bids for the project.

Commissioners will also consider:

  • Acceptance of the roads in Woodland Farms of Chappell Hill into the county’s one-year maintenance period, and reducing the security located in Precinct Two.
  • Acceptance of donations for the K9 Program for the Precinct One Constables Office.
  • Formal notice of a 10-inch road bore from NEWCWS-Corix Utilities on Prairie Hill Road in Precincts One and Three.
  • Changing the date of the commissioners court meeting scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, November 26th to Monday, November 25th.
  • Approval of the Adobe Acrobat software subscription.
  • A series of monthly reports.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., at the Washington County Courthouse.
