WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER KENNEL FOR DRUG DOG
Washington County Commissioners will look to move forward in the process of getting a new drug dog when they meet tomorrow (Tuesday).
The court will consider accepting a donation for a dog kennel, donated by Aspen Midstream, LLC.
Back in August, commissioners accepted a donation of $14,000 from Aspen. The contribution was made up of $12,900 for the dog and $1,100 for other expenses.
Commissioners will also consider approval of the 2018-19 school lands report and disbursement of funds to Brenham and Burton ISDs. The money is generated by county-owned land in Tom Green County, which is used for leasing oil, gas, grazing and agriculture.
The court will also consider:
- Approval of CDWG Engagement to implement AD Connect, which will merge email and network usernames/passwords, and SSO, which is the single sign on.
- Voting on candidates for the Washington County Tax Appraisal District Board of Directors.
- A resolution authorizing the 2020 Indigent Defense Formula Grant Program.
- Renewal of bonds for part-time deputy sheriff’s Craig Wiesepape, Floyd Mathis, and Joe B. Ellis, and reserve deputy sheriff Alfonzo Gomez.
- Proclaiming October 24th as Think Pink Thursday in Washington County. Commissioners will also proclaim the month of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in the county.
- A series of monthly reports.
Commissioners will meet tomorrow morning at 9 a.m., at the Washington County Courthouse.
