WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER PURCHASE OF NEW EMS EQUIPMENT

Washington County Commissioners will look to approve the purchase of a LIFEPAK and LUCAS Chest Compression System at Tuesday’s meeting.

Commissioners will potentially grant an exception for the bid of the chest compression system from Stryker—a medical technologies firm based in Michigan—as a sole source vendor.  The LUCAS Chest Compression System is designed to help improve outcomes of cardiac arrest victims, and can perform at least 100 compressions per minute.

Commissioners will also receive a formal notice for two utility installations.  Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative is planning to install an overhead electric line on Nicholson Lake Road in Chappell Hill, while Industry Telephone Company is looking to put in an underground cable and inner-duct on Muske-Ullrich Road in Burton.

The Court will also look at Justice of the Peace Precinct 2’s request for purchase of a wireless document scanner from JP Technology.  They will also hear reports from several local agencies and offices.

The Commissioners will meet Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., in the Washington County Courthouse.
