WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO LOOK AT TABLED EMS REQUEST

Washington County Commissioners will again look to purchase new EMS equipment at Tuesday’s meeting.

EMS Director Kevin Deramus presents the department's monthly report to Washington Co. Commissioners. Deramus asked commissioners at Tuesday's meeting to table EMS' request for new equipment.

The motion was tabled at their last meeting, because EMS Director Kevin Deramus said the department was still working on the details of a contract with Stryker—a medical technologies firm based in Michigan— for a new LIFEPAK and LUCAS Chest Compression System.

County Attorney Renee Mueller said at the last meeting that she was working on an affidavit with the firm to be a sole source vendor for the equipment.

Commissioners will also look at approving an amendment to the current operating agreement with Aramark Correctional Services LLC, for the food service operation at Washington County Jail.

In addition, they will consider the adoption of an order establishing county right-of-way permits and permit applications, with corresponding fees and fines for recreational events that use county roads and right-of-ways.   They will also discuss several budget line-item transfers and amendments.

The Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m., at the Washington County Courthouse.
