WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO VIEW LEASING BIDS

Washington County Commissioners will meet tomorrow morning (Tuesday) to look over a series of bids received.

The county will open sealed bids for an oil and mineral lease on over ten acres of county-owned land, located on Bluff Road in Precinct One.

In addition, commissioners will view alternate bids for pipe fencing, canopies, and soil stabilization for the new Road and Bridge facility.  The facility will be built on Highway 36 North, and house the Road and Bridge, rural addressing and environmental services.

Also on the agenda, commissioners will hear a request from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to hire a new transport bailiff, at a salary above the starting salary because of experience.

The county will also consider a water line extension agreement with the City of Brenham, as well as a subdivision variance request for a land division fronting Mt. Falls School Road in Precinct One.

The court will also look at approving a right-of-way permit for the Kountry Boyz Riding Club to hold an event on Old Navasota Road.  It will also look at a bond renewal for a reserve deputy sheriff, and at several budget line-item transfers and amendments.

Commissioners will meet tomorrow morning at 9 a.m., at the Washington County Courthouse.
