WASHINGTON CO. LADIES LIONS CLUB HONORS OUTSTANDING MEMBERS

The Washington County Ladies Lions Club announced the recipients of its yearly awards at its meeting Monday, the first month of the new Lions Year.

Five Melvin Jones Fellowships were presented to Linda Oberhoff, Debra Leroy Wenckens, Peggy Kramer, Deloris Draehn, and Donna Clay.  Each fellowship award represented a donation of $1,000 to the Lions Clubs International Foundation Diabetes project, and is the highest award in all Lions Clubs.

  1. The MJF is not an award, but a recognition for the donation and support of LCIF, though most clubs treat it as such. LCI has a Leadership Medal, Presidential Medal and an Ambassador of Good Will, which is the highest award you can receive.
Thank you ladies for all of your hard work and the donation to support our foundation.

  2. The Lions are the BEST organization out there!! They do sooo much and all proceeds make it back to the communities they serve. Go Lions! We love you.

  3. Wonderful to see what the ladies can do.
When I was a member of the Tichigan Lions club the board did not women in their club.
Disappointing to dismiss the ladies potential and the contributions they organize.
