WASHINGTON CO. LITTLE LEAGUE MAKING PLANS TO RETURN
Following the Governor's announcement Monday, WCLL is awaiting on confirmation from the City of Brenham that they will be allowed to resume the 2020 season on June 1st.
President John Mabie says they will be working with the city to develop guidelines to follow once they resume.
Since there are some coaches and players who no longer can coach or play, they will need to reassign some players to different teams and will then work on a revised game schedule. Parents are asked to please reach out to their coaches to confirm that their child will be able to play this summer. Players who cannot play will be offered a credit for next season or a refund.
According to Mabie, regular season games will likely be played from June 15-July 15, All Stars will run from July 19-August 1. Teams will be publicly announced and practices start Monday, July 19.
Games start July 25, with goal to end all of the tournaments by August 1.
