WASHINGTON CO. REPORTING NO NEW COVID-19 CASES, FIVE NEW RECOVERIES; LOCAL HEALTH AUTHORITY TO ISSUE UPDATE FRIDAY

  

No new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Washington County since Tuesday, but there have been several new recoveries.

While the county’s total case count remains at 179, the active cases shrunk to 113 after five new recoveries were confirmed.  Four of those recoveries were reported in patients at the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (BNRC).  To date, 44 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the virus.

Of the county’s active cases, 11 patients remain hospitalized.  The number of COVID-19 patients who have died remains unchanged at 22.

Cases at the BNRC make up 107 of the county’s total of 179.  Eight of the facility’s patients have recovered, two are currently hospitalized, and 20 have died.

No new COVID-19 testing numbers have been provided since Tuesday, when the Washington County Joint Information Center (JIC) reported an estimated 990 tests have been performed, 127 of them at the BNRC.
