WASHINGTON CO. REPORTS FIVE NEW COVID-19 CASES WEDNESDAY; 81 ACTIVE, 395 RECOVERED

  

Washington County’s COVID-19 case numbers continue to trend in a positive direction, as fewer active cases and additional recoveries are reported.

While data from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) shows the county did add five new cases Wednesday, it also reported nine new recoveries.

As of Wednesday, according to DSHS, the county had 520 total positive cases, 81 active cases, 395 recoveries, and 39 deaths.

Wednesday’s 81 active cases are a reduction of nine cases from data on Tuesday.  They are also the county’s lowest active case total since July 7th, when DSHS reported 72 existing cases.

As of Wednesday, the county has performed a cumulative total of 4,060 COVID-19 tests.
