WASHINGTON CO. REPORTS FOUR NEW COVID-19 CASES, ONE NEW DEATH

  

Four new cases of COVID-19 and a 23rd patient death were confirmed Friday by Washington County officials.

The cases were confirmed in three women and one man, three from Brenham and one from the Washington area, ranging in age from their 30s to their 60s.  One of the new patients is a resident of the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (BNRC).  Officials confirmed that the newly reported death was also from the BNRC.

The county now sits at 183 total cases, with 111 of them active.  Five new recoveries were reported Friday, bringing the county’s total to 49.  Meanwhile, 11 patients remain hospitalized.

Of the county’s 23 COVID-19 related deaths, 21 are from the BNRC.  The facility has 108 positive cases, 75 of them active.  Two patients are hospitalized, while four new recoveries brought the facility’s number of recovered patients up to 12.

As of Friday, the county has performed an estimated 1,240 COVID-19 tests, 127 of them at the BNRC.

  1. How about a report from the other senior care facilities in town? Why are we not hearing if there are any cases at SilverSage, Kruse, Focused Care, High Hope or Argent Court?

    1. I think it’s because they report directly to the person who got tested and the majority of those tested have been negative.
