WASHINGTON CO. TOTAL COVID-19 CASES UP TO 184, DEATHS AT 24

  

Washington County officials confirmed the county’s 184th positive COVID-19 case and its 24th patient death Monday.

The case confirmed Monday is in a Brenham man in his 80s who is currently hospitalized.  The man is a resident of the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (BNRC), which also reported Monday’s death.  Twenty-two of the county’s 24 COVID-19 related deaths are linked to the facility.

Of the county’s 184 positive cases, 110 are active.  Twelve patients are hospitalized, while 50 have recovered from the virus.

At the BNRC, 109 positive cases have been reported, made up of 87 residents and 22 employees.  The facility currently has 75 active cases, three patients hospitalized, and 12 recoveries.

The county as of Monday has performed an estimated 1,240 COVID-19 tests, with 127 of them coming from the BNRC.
