WASHINGTON COUNTY AGRILIFE TO PRESENT FALL FORAGE MANAGEMENT SEMINAR

  

The Washington County Beef and Forage Committee will be presenting the topic of forage management into the fall and winter months with a Fall Forage Seminar on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the Washington County Fairgrounds VIP Building.

Dr. Larry Redmon, Professor & State Forage Specialist, will provide an update on soil and soil fertility, winter forage options, and stocking considerations for winter pastures

The seminar will begin at 5:30pm with registration and a hamburger meal at the new 4-H Concession Stand in the Food Court at the Fairgrounds.  The meal was made possible by the support of Citizens State Bank and prepared by the Washington County Adult Leaders Association.

Following registration and the meal, the program will be from 6:00-8:00pm.  Two (2) CEUs (1 IPM and 1 Gen) will be offered to all pesticide applicators in attendance.  A $20 registration fee will be charged at the door; handouts and light refreshments will be provided.
