WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS GET UPDATE ON CONVENTION AND VISITORS REPORT
The Washington County Commissioners met this morning to hear a presentation of the Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau on their Fourth Quarter Report for July through September 2014 presented by Lu Hollander.
The number of visitors into the Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau were down for July, which is usually the busiest month, but August and September numbers were up. The number of “Unique Visitors” to BrenhamTexas.com were up for the months of July, August, and September.
Clint Colby of the Brenham Economic Development Foundation presented the names of the companies reviewed for compliance in the tax phase-in incentive, which involves review to make sure that employment and payroll criteria are being met. The name of those companies reviewed this year are:
Advanced Data Storage
Stanpac
QuestVapco
Blue Bell Creameries
Valmont Industries
Longwood Elastomers
MIC Group
Brazos Valley Brewing Company
All were in compliance.
Also approved was the RE-plat of Lots 4,5,and 6 in Pleasant Farms Subdivision out of the William Munson Survey located in Chappell Hill, Precinct 2.
