WASHINGTON ON THE BRAZOS TO HOST CHRISTMAS AT THE BRAZOS SATURDAY

Washington on the Brazos along with the Barrington Living History Farm will host Christmas on the Brazos this Saturday, December 13.

The Historic Christmas tradition of Texas from the 1800’s will highlight free and low cost activities for all ages including period music, craft making, readings, food samplings and sale of artisan gifts.

All these activities will cumulate in the park’s popular Candlelight Christmas event at the Barrington Living History Farm, which will feature stories of Texian frontier festivities with music, musket firing, dancing, and a candlelit tour of the farm.

Barrington Living History Farm will be open from noon until 4pm and then will close for one hour to prepare for its Candlelight Christmas event that starts at 5pm and lasts until 9pm with the last tour leaving at 8pm.

Visitors should dress appropriately for the weather and are welcome to bring food and drink into the park, but no glass bottles or alcoholic beverages are allowed. Pets are allowed in the park if they are leashed. Parking is free.

Advanced tickets to the Barrington Farm are strongly recommended and can be purchased at Barrington.Farm@tpwd.texas.gov or by calling 936-878-2214 ext. 246
