WELLBROCK NAMED TO COUGARS’ ALL-DECADE TEAM
With the end of the 2010’s, The Houston Chronicle has named its All-Decade Houston Cougar Baseball Team.
Included on that team is relief pitcher, Chase Wellbrock.
Wellbrock is UH’s all-time saves leader with 24. In 2014, he was 5-0 with 12 saves and a 1.17 ERA to help the Cougars advance to the NCAA Super-Regional for the first time since 2003.
Wellbrock helped lead the Brenham Cubs to the State Championship in 2010. He set a school record, going 18-0 on the mound that season, with wins in the State Semifinal and State Championship games.
