WEST SAYS DECISION TO MOVE ON, NOT AN EASY ONE

Earlier this week, longtime Brenham Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Glen West announced he is stepping down to accept an administrative position with the state coaches association.

West says this was not an easy decision to make…

West will be taking over as the new Assistant Executive Director for the Texas High School Coaches Association—an organization of over 22,000 members, which helps support, educate and certify coaches across the state.

As for his 20 years in Brenham, West says he could not think of a better place to live…

Taking over as Co-interim Athletic Directors will be Coach Mike Adams and Coach Brett Mouser.

Brenham ISD is holding a community forum tonight (Wednesday) at 6:00 PM at the Brenham High School lecture rooms to gather input on the profile of the next Brenham ISD Athletic Director.

Application for the position will be accepted through March 16th and two rounds of interviews are planned in March.  The new Athletic Director is expected to be announce in early April.

Meanwhile, KWHI will have an extended hour-long visit with Coach Glen West, Monday night on the Brenham Sports Line at 5:30 on KWHI and www.kwhi.com.
