WHERE IS DELLA THIS MONTH IN WASHINGTON COUNTY?

Peggy Bland was the winner of the Where’s Della contest in January.  She correctly guessed that Della was at Burton’s historic Cotton Gin.  Each month, the Washington County Visitors Bureau features a photo of Della the German Shepard at a different location in the county.  Last month’s photo showed Della at the historic 1914 Burton Farmers Cotton Gin. It is the oldest operating cotton gin in America and is recognized by the Smithsonian Institution and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The museum is open to the public every Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm and offers guided tours through the gin at 10am and 2pm each day.

This month, Della is visiting an example of early pioneer living in Washington County.  To enter the contest, email your answer, name, and phone number to Della@BrenhamTexas.com by February 28th.  The winner will be chosen on March 1st.

February's "Where's Della" photo. Clue: Della took a "TROT" around this example of early pioneer living in Washington County.
