GAS LEAK CAPPED; EVACUATION OVER

  

A mandatory evacuation is over after workers capped a gas leak.

The leak was located in the area of FM 1361 and FM 2155, south of Snook and northwest of Clay.

Burleson County authorities say the Comstock Oil and Gas well was leaking approximately 2700 cu. feet of gas per hour.

Workers from a company in the Woodlands capped the well early Thursday evening.

All evacuated residents gave been allowed back into their homes.

Several roads that were closed are now open.

A College Station hazmat crew spent much of the day at the scene.

No injuries have been report
