XANAX FOUND IN TRAFFIC STOP

  

A wrong turn in front of a Brenham police officer led to the arrest of a 24-year old Navasota man on drug possession charges late Tuesday afternoon.

Officer Jonathan Phipps was patrolling at Highway 105 and Chappell Hill Street when he saw a driver make a wrong turn in front of him.  The officer stopped him and gave him a pat down search.  During the search Officer Phipps found 22 blue oval pills, determined to be XANAX.  The driver, 24-year old Dominque Jay Carbajal of Navasota said he had a prescription for the drugs but he could name the doctor who had prescribed them and they were not in a prescription pill bottle.  .  Carbajal was arrested for possession of controlled substances.
