YOUTH DEVELOPMENT COACH AT GIDDINGS STATE SCHOOL DIES LESS THAN WEEK AFTER COVID-19 DIAGNOSIS

  

A staff member at the Giddings State School has died from complications with COVID-19, less than a week after he was diagnosed with the virus.

Sean Wilson, who worked as a youth development coach at the juvenile correctional facility, died June 28th at his home after being diagnosed on June 22nd.  Wilson, according to the Giddings Times and News, lived in Brenham.

Wilson had worked for the State of Texas for 14 years, and for the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD) since 2014.

TJJD Executive Director Camille Cain said in a statement that Wilson was “a dedicated staff member” and “cared deeply for the youth he worked with”.

Cain said the entire TJJD family is grieving over the loss of Wilson, who leaves behind a wife and an eight-year-old son.

  1. God bless him. Hate to see needless lives lost bc some people are selfish and won’t put a piece of cloth on their face when they go inside businesses. It’s an absolute tragedy.
