Assistant Brenham School Superintendent Byron McAdams is retiring at the end of this school year and Brenham Junior High School Principal Paul Aschenbeck will take his place.

McAdams has been the Assistant Superintendent for the BISD since 2009 while Aschenbeck became BJHS principal in 2010.

Aschenbeck however says he is nowhere near retiring. He says this is a new avenue in his 20 year career in education, something he is very excited about.  Aschenbeck is determined however, to get out to the campuses and stay in touch with the young people in the district.

Aschenbeck came to the district from Bellville and took over after as the Brenham Junior High School Principal Artis Edwards retired.
