BRENHAM PASTORS JOURNEY TO KENYA

Two Brenham ministers recently returned from a journey to the east African nation of Kenya, and a special assignment broaden the tenets of Christianity there.

The Rev. Randy Wells and The Rev. Marcus Lawhon spent several weeks in the rural areas of a nation that can be a bustling modern nation that quickly turns into a rural and remote area just a short distance away.

Lawhon, representing the Homoeree Ministry, says he and Wells were there to train pastors to distinguish the teachings of Christianity and the folk religion in the region.

Wells says some of the libraries of the rural pastors of Kenya ‘can fit in a backpack.’

Both Lawhon and Wells spent time understanding the needs of the Kenyan pastors and advising them on how to spread their teachings.
