BRYAN’S QUEEN THEATER TO REOPEN

  

Another historic theater in the area is being restored.  The Queen Theater in downtown Bryan is undergoing renovation, just as Brenham’s historic Simon Theater did.

Downtown Bryan Association Director Sandy Farris says the Queen Theater is being returned to its roots showing classic films on the big screen.  Farris says on two or three weekends a month the theater will feature classic movies with a theme, such as a “Hitchcock Weekend” or a “B-Movie Festival”.

The theater will also be available to be rented for event space, and could host live music events or weddings.  The top floors of the building will become the offices of the Downtown Bryan Association.  Renovation of the Queen Theater, located at 110 South Main in downtown Bryan, is expected to take until late this year or early 2018.
