‘CHILI WHEN IT’S CHILLY’ HAPPENING TODAY IN WALLER

  

The “Chili when it’s Chilly Cook-off” is happening today (Friday) and tomorrow in Waller.

Registration for the cook-off begins at 3 p.m. today at the Lone Star Jellystone Yogi Bear Park.

A Steak Turn-in will take place at 7 p.m. Beau Hinze & The Backporch Shufflers will provide musical entertainment beginning at 8 p.m.

The fun will continue on Saturday with live music, an auction, and a golf cart parade.

The theme this year is “These Colors Don’t Run” and organizers invite attendees to wear anything red, white, and blue in celebration.

The “Chili when it’s Chilly Cook-off” raises money for veterans and troops with brain injuries. The event donates all proceeds to the ReBoot Program, which brings together world class mental and physical treatment for servicemen and women.
