DPS ARRESTS THREE IN COLLEGE STATION CHASE
Three Bryan men have been arrested after leading authorities on a high-speed chase over the weekend.
19-year old Preston Wiggins, 17-year old Ladarion Johnson and 20-year old Jamerson Shirley-Johnson face charges after the trio reportedly refused to stop for DPS Troopers, Saturday afternoon in College Station.
A trooper attempted to stop their vehicle for speeding on FM-2818. The chase led through College Station, before ending in a parking lot on Wellborn Road near Holleman Drive at the Smith Little League Park.
The three suspects were arrested at the scene, while two others—the driver and a fourth passenger—were able to flee the scene and remain at large.
All three of the captures suspects face drug-related charges, while Johnson and Shirley-Johnson are each charged with tampering with evidence—as authorities say marijuana and hydrocodone pills were tossed out of the fleeing vehicle during the chase.
Bond for Wiggins was set at $2,000, while bond for Johnson is $10,000 and Shirley-Johnson’s is $20,000.
