  1. Why can’t they just Legalize It. The county could use the tax money. All they do is complain about how they’re spending their tax money. Gess !! We all pay taxes so we don’t go to jail.s aid would probably use it on a multi-million-dollar football stadium. Lol

  2. real issue you are so wrong you say people lives are ruined because they use a drug that comes from a plant, wake up most drugs do come from plants I guess next thing you will say is it is ok to use opium and cocaine .I say good work brenham police force keep up the good work let,s keep our city and county drug free

  3. I wish they would just legalize marijuana. Because I’m tired of hearing stoners complain about it.

  4. Be careful of throwing insults to others. There is always two sides to a story. Sometimes paintings are painted over other paintings.

  5. the real issue is should he even had been arrested for less than two ounces of marijuana? I’m sure the guy had less than two grams of the stuff. it’s not the end of the world. he’s a hard working member of society and if he chooses to indulge in the practice on his free time he shouldn’t be penalized for it. it doesn’t say anywhere he was high or recently smoked. just that he was in possession. I don’t know what it will take for texas to wake up and stop using its police forces as a cash register. you can make a hundred times more money legalizing and regulating the plant instead of incarcerating people and trying, and succeeding, to ruin lives all over a plant

  6. No where in that story does it say the Homeland Security bailed him out. I read that they talked to him and he then bonded out by usual means.

    1. The original story was edited. When it was first posted it said the employer bailed him out.

    2. When this story first came out it said “According to officials with the Washington County Jail, officials with Homeland Security came to the Jail Wednesday and bonded Gardner out.” then it was changed….????

  7. Where does it say that homeland security bailed him out???? It clearly says they came and spoke with him and he later bonded out…….if you are gonna twist the story don’t comment on it

  8. Please read the story. Homeland Security came and spoke with him and HE LATER BONDED OUT.

I agree with you Mrs. Gibson – all I can say is welcome to Washington County!

  9. I really don’t understand why y’all post pictures of every little thing done here in Brenham without telling the whole story. If y’all gonna post this wrong doing post the outcome. Washington County is something else.

  10. How many employers do you know that would come bond you out for Drug Charges???

  11. Why in the world would “officials with Homeland Security” bond this man out of jail? Did they do this with taxpayer money? Something does not seem right about that!

  12. Boy do I sure feel safe knowing the homeland security employees are high on their jobs. Pun intended.

    1. And, his employer came and bailed him out. I wonder if they used taxpayer money for his bail? Unbelievable.
