  1. There is gonna be a shortage of police in the future if this killing keeps going on! Then society will be very vulnerable! This hatred needs to end!

  2. It all comes down to lack of respect. Respect, not fear, must be learned very early in life. Then comes self respect, which is even tougher for some. All human relationships suffer without this essential element, such as the growing disrespect for law enforcement. This begins with parents, teachers, etc, and our public servants who protect us with their lives. The facts that create this climate of disrespect are varied, lack of parenting, education, and the digital, internet, instant news age. Believing that all parents, teachers, and public servants perform their jobs responsibly is a fairy tale. That is the equivalent of saying that all mechanics, doctors, plumbers, etc, are flawless in their work. Errors in all our endeavours no matter what we do, have impact on others. As adults, we set the examples in all that we do and live. Whatever we choose to do, be it parenting, teaching, public service protectors, be prepared to do it correctly. Endeavour to make our lifes work with full knowledge of the requirements, sacrifices and full knowledge of personal flaws and limitations.

  3. It’s just shameful what people are doing now. Each and every one of those people on that plaque gave their lives to save others – and would’ve even for those vandals.

The ignorance going on in today’s society – that officers are our enemies – is scary and nonsensical. Those officers – just like our soldiers, fire fighters and paramedics – CHOOSE to be out there daily to save lives at the risk of their own.

Each time they go on duty, they kiss their loved ones or family or say hi to people and their co-workers, not knowing if that is the last time.

Unfortunately we live in a society where our youth, and even adults, are being taught or have learned that you cannot do any wrong, even when they are doing wrong.

I am hoping that the vandals are caught, they have to clean the monument (or if the eggy whites damaged the stone, have to purchase another one) and spend time doing community service around the courthouse making sure every inch of it is spic and span.

    1. I agree, I think they should have to do community service in a bright orange vest at every downtown event that there is. Let everyone know what they did. I personally think they are a coward!

  4. Don was a friend of mine as well as a brother in law enforcement. This is not right and another example of the War on law enforcement. Who ever did this needs to turn themselves in and apologize, clean the plaque, and go to jail for a while.

    1. Hopefully they will get the “egg” on their face
when they get caught. Criminals like to brag
when they think they have won. Their days are numbered. Karma’s gonna come knocking. Don’t need camera’s. God saw everything. You can’t out smart Him you idiots.

      1. Yes God sees everything and we all can be ashamed of stuff! But this is very sorry! I hope they get caught! Maybe there conscious will bother them! But then again there is so much hate in this world! I pray we all can help unite together no matter what color denomination or whatever!

        1. People that pull this kind of stunt don’t have any respect. They think it’s funny because they have nothing to refer to as an investment source emotionally, financially or morally. I wish I could say what I really think here, but out of respect, I won’t. It’s a doggone shame generation “X” Doesn’t have any respect for memorials, let alone respect for themselves. Who ever pulled this stunt should do the right thing and just turn themselves in TODAY. Turn over a new leaf and go about their business and be a productive member of society and the culture in the world in which they live in.

          1. Er… What does “generation X” have to do with this? For all ‘we’ know, an eighty year old person did this. Jump to conclusions much?
