17-year old Keith Brian Russell is charged with Robbery—a Class-2 Felony; and resisting arrest.

Police were called out to the WalMart parking lot to a report of a theft, just after 8:30 pm.

Corporal Seth Klehm was en route to the scene when he saw a young man matching the suspect’s description.  Klehm says the suspect began running and avoided authorities—including the department’s K9.

SergeantLloyd Powell recovered the suspect’s bicycle and backpack.  Several store employees say they watched the suspect leave the store without paying for several items.

When confronted, the employees say Russell hit one of them in the face and fled.

Just moments later Powell received a call that the bicycle and backpack had just been reported stolen—by Russell, the suspect in the case.

Authorities then met with Russell, who was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail.

  1. WAKE UP PARENTS!!! shouldn’t this kid have been at home studying or something? My kids are in college and I still ask questions as to where they go and who they hanging out with. . they may not like it but if I am helping foot some of their bills you dang right its my business!!!
Not saying my kids are angels and don’t have their faults but so far luckily they have not faced any problems like a lot of kids we have seen through the news lately have. . . maybe more family activities in some of these kids lives would be helpful. . . to me it seems like these kids are lacking parent/family attention. .

    1. Stop blaming the parents, these kids know what they’re doing, Also, if you’re kids ask to go to Walmart to buy something you are probably not gonna think anything of it, because you believe that they are gonna buy something. But when you get the call telling you your kid just stole many things and assaulted an employee, and is now arrested, What will you say to that? Just because your kids let you know they are going somewhere doesn’t mean they are being completely honest with you. No kid with a quarter of brain is gonna tell their parents that they are about to break the law. You also got to take more things into consideration.

      1. BHS STUDENT-
Kids don’t wake up one day and just start committing crimes. Statistics show that kids have tendencies that continue to grow into more and more. Children need to be taught from day ONE (and THAT IS the parents job) what is right and wrong. Parents are to TEACH them that they have a choice. And there are consequences of those choices, what ever they chose. Kids that are never taught the difference or punished when they do wrong, grow up to do BIGGER wrongs.
