THREE ARRESTED BY BRENHAM POLICE FOR ‘POSSESSION’

Three people face possession charges after their arrests this past weekend.

45-year old Juan Andres Ramirez was wanted on nine outstanding traffic warrants from Brenham Municipal Court.

Sgt. Seth Klehm located Ramirez Friday afternoon around 4:30.

During a search, Klehm says he found marijuana.

Ramirez is charged with Possession of Marijuana and the nine traffic warrants.

18-year old Joshua Malik Square-Washington of Brenham was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over in a traffic stop in the 400 block of Highway 290 West.

Officer Hunter Andras says a search turned up marijuana which Washington claimed as his.

He is charged with Possession of Marijuana.

Another traffic stop resulted in the arrest of 37-year old Oscar Cruz-Hernandez of Brenham.

Cruz-Hernandez was pulled over in the 400 block of Martin Luther King Parkway for a fictitious license plate.  He also had no driver’s license and a search of the car turned up cocaine.

Cruz-Hernandez is charged with Displaying a Fictitious License Plate and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

  1. Open your eyes little puppies and you will see that Dope, Drugs, Pot, Whatever you want to call it has made an EXTREME NEGATIVE IMPACT ON STATES THAT HAVE LEGALIZED IT. The news tonight was that AAA, Triple A, reports that on TRAFFIC FATALITIES HAVE DOUBLED IN THOSE STATES THAT HAVE LEGALIZED MARIJUANA. That is why it is a CRIME AND WHY CRIMINALS GO TO JAIL IN T-E-X-A-S.

  2. The U.S. Justice Dept. recently issued a warning to local county seats across America about being nothing more than cash registers. Law enforcement administrative officers are weary with these revolving door practices, and fine personnel have walked away from this important work due to these practices. We are more aware than the citizens of yesteryear, and the younger, more educated voters do not suffer from the epidemic of apathy. Things are changing, and this state unfortunately, is slow to progress.

    1. couldn’t have said it better. get the arrest. make the charges. deal with the rest later
