12TH ANNUAL FAYETTE CO. RAM RODEO FRIDAY, SATURDAY
Rodeo action gets underway this weekend at the 12th Annual Fayette County Sheriff’s Posse Ram Rodeo.
The event begins tonight (Friday) at 7:30 p.m. and continues through tomorrow (Saturday) at the Fayette County Sheriff’s Posse Arena, three miles south of La Grange on FM 609.
Among the rodeo events taking place are mutton bustin, a clown act from Craig Bickly, and a Rescue Race tomorrow night. There will also be $6,000 in added money, and each night will feature live music from TFT DJ. Tomorrow night is “Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night”, with a portion of the night’s proceeds going toward a local family battling cancer.
The Sheriff’s Posse has made adjustments to ensure the safety of all participants, guests, and volunteers such as establishing a one-way gate entrance and exit, adding sanitation stations throughout the grounds, regularly cleaning and sanitizing seating areas and rodeo gear, and keeping attendees socially distanced.
Tickets at the gate are $15 per day, $5 for youth ages 6-12. Kids 5 and under get in free.
