TWO KILLED IN PLANE CRASH

Two brothers from Fayette County are dead after their small plane crashed in Kimble County.

39-year old Jeremy Grant Gold and 45-year old Gregory Lewis Gold, both of Ledbetter, were killed when their plane crashed near Junction.

According to the Department of Public Safety in San Angelo, the two had taken off from the Lee County Airport in Giddings early Tuesday morning en route to some property in South Texas.

DPS Trooper Lee Meadow of Junction, reports the twin-engine Cessna-310, which was piloted by Jeremy Gold, experienced mechanical problems just before 10:00 a.m. about a mile southwest of Junction.

According to Meadow’s report the plane lost power and crashed into a pasture, killing both men onboard.

The DPS report says the weather conditions were clear at the time of the crash.
