The Brenham High School MCJROTC performed among the best at the National Drill Competition on Wednesday in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Brenham’s unarmed team finished second overall in the country, while the armed team placed third overall. Dylan Guerrero was named Best Armed Commander, and Schoenstatt Rodriguez was named Best Unarmed Commander. The unarmed division placed first in Color Guard, second in Exhibition and Inspection, and third in Regulation. The armed division took first place in Regulation, third in Exhibition and fourth in Inspection. In addition, the unarmed team earned an invitation to the National High School All Service Drill Championship, to be held May 4th and 5th at Daytona Beach, Florida. 

Congratulations to Kelton Richardson for achieving 3rd place overall in the Individual Armed Knockout at the MJROTC Nationals Drill Meet! What an outstanding accomplishment! In this rigorous competition, participants face single elimination rounds, demonstrating their skills under pressure. Kelton's remarkable performance highlights his incredible talent and hard work, making him the 3rd BEST in the NATION! Well done, Kelton!

At this year's Art UIL event, Brenham High School showcased 27 entries crafted by 20 distinct students. The entries achieved the following scores: 8 Paintings: 1 earned State Qualifier status, 5 scored a IV, and 3 achieved a III. 7 Sculptures: all received a IV score. 10 Drawings: 9 earned a IV score, while one received a III. The talent & achievement displayed by our students is truly remarkable!

We are excited to announce that several BHS students have been accepted to the NASA High School Aerospace Scholars Program, An authentic STEM learning experience for Texas high school juniors to engage with NASA’s missions and become the next generation of explorers. HAS is a year-long commitment for Texas high school juniors which starts in the fall with a four-month online learning experience related to space exploration, Earth science, technology, and aeronautics. The following juniors were accepted in the fall and have been dedicating their personal time to this endeavor. They have done some amazing work and we would like to recognize these students: Sam Clepper, Sean Cao, Garrison Covin, Alex Lawhorn, Tyler Lindeman, Faith Sartor.

The Freshman District Tournament for 21-5A took place on Thursday, April 18th at Bryan Rudder. Brenham celebrated as two of their players clinched medals. Annalee Sawyer emerged as the Girls Singles Champion, triumphing over opponents from A&M Consolidated and Montgomery Lake Creek. Meanwhile, Charles White secured Second Place in Boy's Singles.  Congratulations to these Freshmen!
