STOLEN CAR RECOVERED
Washington County Sheriff’s deputies have recovered a stolen car and arrested an Austin woman near Chappell Hill Wednesday night.
A resident in the 8000 block of FM2447 called authorities to report a suspicious vehicle parked in their driveway. The caller told the 9-1-1 operator that a woman was behind the wheel and would not respond to the owner.
Deputy Jose Perez confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen out of Bastrop last week.
The driver, 34-year old Victoria Castillo of Austin was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
Castillo is currently at the Washington County Jail. Her bond has been set at $5,000.
