BRENHAM CITY COUNCIL TO REFINANCE BONDS
Brenham City Manager Terry Roberts says the city is paying higher interest rates on over $5.6 million in bonds than the current market has available. He says when the City Council meets (Thursday) today at city hall, they will consult with the city’s financial advisor Gary Kimball about refinancing those bonds to get a better interest rate.
Roberts estimates the city could save about a half a million dollars on the current bonds.
The Brenham City Council meets today ( Thursday) at one at city hall to hear Kimball’s presentation and vote on the bond refinancing.
